You just need to install MCShield on your computer, to prevent infections from removable devices. The software provides real time protection against malware. When you plug in a removable drive, the program will detect and scan your device automatically. MCShield's scanning engine is quite fast and you can adjust its behavior, on a tabbed interface.

You can choose what messages and prompts should be displayed, if an infection is detected or not, but you can also make a series of configurations to MCShield's scanner. Depending on your settings, the software will scan hard disk drives, flash drives and memory cards, when you launch it. Additionally, you can set it to perform in-depth signature scans, reveal hidden items on flash drives, delete suspicious files and more.

Alternatively, you may select one of three presets. The software allows you to choose between default and fast protection methods or switch to bulletproof mode, which activates most defensive features. MCShield comes with its own signatures database, which can be updated automatically, every few hours. Another useful feature is the possibility of activating a gaming mode, which disables all the notifications, so they will not hinder you while playing a game.
